Abstract
The ionicity of the metal hydride bonds of a series of iron hydrides supported by multidentate phosphine donors has been determined by measurement of deuterium quadrupolar coupling constant (DQCC) of the isotopically labelled metal hydrides in concentrated solution in toluene. Ionicities of 0.69-0.73 were obtained.
