Switching of global minima of novel germylenic reactive intermediates via halogens (X): C2GeH2 vs. C2GeHX at ab initio and DFT levels

The global minimum among six isomeric C2GeH2 germylenes, is singlet (s), aromatic, germacyclopropenylidene (1s-H), while among the 24 corresponding halogermylenes C2GeHX, the global minimum switches to the singlet, acyclic, ethynylhalogermylene (2s-X), at eight reasonably high ab initio and DFT levels (X = F, Cl, and Br).
