Abstract
Di- and triorganotin(IV) derivatives of tyrosinylphenylalanine (H2Tyr-Phe) have been synthesized and characterized by various spectroscopic methods. The single crystal X-ray structure of Me2Sn(Tyr-Phe) · MeOH shows distorted trigonal-bipyramidal arrangement with two methyl groups and peptide nitrogen (Nâpeptide) in the equatorial positions, while the carboxylic oxygen (Oâcarboxyl) and the amino nitrogen (Namino) are at axial positions. One methanol molecule is also present.
