Abstract
The synthesis, spectroscopical and structural characterization of 2-(2â²-pyridyl)quinoxaline-pentacarbonyl tungsten (1) are reported. 2-(2-Pyridyl)quinoxaline is mono-coordinated in an unexpected way resulting in new potential complexes. The reaction of 1 with toluene under mild conditions afford, after an isomeriazation of the ligand the related tetracarbonyl tungsten complex.
