Abstract
Aqueous lithium polyoxoniobate salts were used to prepare lithium niobate (LiNbO3) thin films. Fundamental studies were performed to investigate the interactions in the transition from precursor cluster to the oxide film. It was found that acid-base and ion-association chemistries of the aqueous and gel systems significantly affect the key processes in this atom-level journey. 405
