Abstract
The complex fluoride BaBeF4:RE has been synthesized by hydrothermal methods under mild conditions. The effects of the molar ratio of original materials, pH, reaction temperature and time are discussed. XPS conforms the oxygen content of those products is hardly insertion. BaBeF4:RE obtained was pure phase of BaBeF4. In the BaBeF4:Eu3+, Tb3+ system, Eu3+, Tb3+ and Eu2+ are observed in one matrix.
