Abstract
An O-polysaccharide was released by mild acid degradation of the lipopolysaccharide of Acinetobacter sp. VS-15 and studied by chemical methods along with 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy, including 2D 1H,1H COSY, TOCSY, ROESY, 1H,13C HSQC and HMBC experiments. The following structure of the pentasaccharide repeating unit of the polysaccharide was established:Figure optionsDownload full-size imageDownload as PowerPoint slideThe O-polysaccharide of Acinetobacter lwoffii EK67 was found to have the same structure.
