Preliminary studies into the inhibition of the cholesterol α-glucosyltransferase from Helicobacter pylori using azasugars

Various known inhibitors of glycosidases were assessed for their ability to inhibit, both independently as well as with UDP, the cholesterol α-glucosyltransferase from Helicobacter pylori. The sub-cloning, expression and purification of the glucosyltransferase is also discussed.
