Abstract
Carbohydrate recognition factors of MBA: (i) cluster or polyvalent GlcNAc(β1-2)Man(α1- > Man(α1-2/3/6)Man(α1- or Man(α1-3/6)Man(β1- [cluster glycans/simple glycans = 103-105]; (ii) β-GlcNAc > α-GlcNAc > α-Man > β-Glc > GlcNAc > Man > Glc > α-Glc, β-Man â«Â Gal/GalNAc (non-reactive), and (iii) -NAc group at equatorial C-2, -OH group at C-4 and C-6, pyranose ring conformation.
