Abstract
A new class of oligopyridine ligands bearing disaccharides linked to the 4- and 4â²-positions of a 2,2â²-bipyridine or the 4â²-position of a 2,2â²:6â²,2â³-terpyridine metal-binding domain are described. Representative ligands with furanosylfuranose and pyranosylpyranose (cellobiose) substituents have been prepared.
