Abstract
•An O-polysaccharide was isolated from a Pseudomonas mandelii strain.•The polysaccharide was studied by sugar analysis and NMR spectroscopy.•The polysaccharide was found to contain a branched sugar yersiniose A.•Structure of a branched tetrasaccharide repeat of the polysaccharide was established.
The O-polysaccharide isolated by mild acid hydrolysis of the lipopolysaccharide of Pseudomonas mandelii CYar1 was studied by sugar analysis and 1D and 2D 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopies. The following structure of the O-polysaccharide was established:
