Abstract

âº RP6 is (Z)-N-(2-bromo-5-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzylidene)-2-methylpropan-2-amine oxide. âº The synthesis and neuroprotection properties of nitrone RP6 are described. âº RP6 protects cortical neurons against the ROS formation. âº RP6 protects cortical neurons against necrotic death and lipid peroxidation. âº RP6 is an attractive multipotent nitrone for stroke.
