Abstract

The diameters of C60 nanowhiskers (C60NWs), which are prepared by a simple liquid–liquid interfacial precipitation method, can be tuned appropriately by controlling the area size of liquid–liquid interface. The diameters of C60NWs decrease with decreasing the area size of liquid–liquid interface. The electronic spectra of C60NWs show a dependence on the diameters of C60NWs, reflecting strength of interaction among the C60 molecules in each C60NW.
