Abstract
The chemical reaction between calcium carbide and oxalic acid has been used to produce high quality carbon nanospheres (CNSs) at the temperature as low as 65 °C without any catalysts. The synthesized CNSs have high purity (>95%), high carbon content (98%) and very uniform size (80–100 nm).
