Abstract
We have demonstrated an environmentally friendly and efficient route for the reduction of graphene oxide by aluminum powder in only 30 min. The highly reduced graphene oxide had been confirmed by X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and thermo gravimetric analysis. Furthermore, the bulk conductivity of the prepared graphene sheets is 2.1 × 103 S/m, which is only one order of magnitude lower than that of pristine graphite (∼3.2 × 104 S/m).
