Abstract
- We compared root canal fillings by lateral compaction and a single cone technique.
- We described an objective protocol to quantify the spatial variations in porosity.
- Use of a hygroscopic bioglass cement was not sufficient to close voids near fillings.
- The single cone technique results in less porosity than standard lateral compaction.
