Abstract
The kinetics of thermal dehydrobromination of 9-bromofluorene (BF), with formation of polycondensation products, has been studied at temperatures from 150 to 225°. It was found that this reaction fits the equation of a second order reaction. Determination of the overall rate constant, the activation energy and the pre-exponential factor gave the following overall rate equation V=8.0×103·−27,200RT·[BF]2
