Abstract
The 2nd Annual Meeting of the CNAM Center (Composite and Nanocomposite Advanced Manufacturing Center) was held in August at the center's lead institution - the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology (SDSMT), located at the foothills of the Black Hills in Rapid City SD. The meeting was attended by representatives from 16 organizations, including the consortium of current industrial members which span the composite manufacturing supply chain, as well prospective corporate members and press delegates. The overall objective of the CNAM Center is to meet the urgent commercial need for strong, lightweight, multifunctional, composite and nanocomposite structures at high volume and low cost.
