Abstract
Composite pressure vessels are playing an increasingly important role in energy storage. Not only can they reduce the weight of a vessel, but there are additional advantages in terms of safety, through high impact strength, anti-explosion failure modes and corrosion-free attributes. Kevin Meyer, Francesca Pignagnoli, Doug Potts and Gary Hunter of The Dow Chemical Company explain.
