Two molecular metals with one-dimensional non-uniform magnetic chain of bis(maleonitriledithiolate)nickel(III) monoanion: Syntheses, structures and magnetic properties

- Crystal structures of two molecular metals were obtained at 291 and 150 K.
- The Ni(III) ions of 1 and 2 form a non-uniform 1D zigzag magnetic chain.
- Compound 1 exhibits an interesting characteristic of spin-gap.
- Compound 2 shows two shows two spin-gap transitions.
