Abstract
Ag@SiO2@polypyrrole (PPy) nanocomposites were fabricated by a simple method. Ag@PPy yolk–shell nanocomposite was obtained after the removal of the midlayer SiO2. TEM confirmed that the movable Ag cores were encapsulated in the interior of the hollow PPy nanoparticles. The structure of the resultant product was characterized by the Raman spectrum and X-ray diffraction technologies. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) revealed that the thermal stability of the nanocomposites was improved as compared with the pure PPy.
