Abstract
A study of polarisation and crosstalk in photonic crystal waveguides incorporating bends is investigated. By using a three-dimension finite difference time domain (FDTD) method, the effects of the bend angle, the waveguide height on the polarisation and crosstalk are studied and reported. The validity of the numerical approach used in this work is demonstrated through rigorous comparisons with published results obtained using either other numerical approaches or from experimental investigations.
