Abstract
Monodisperse carbazole-based oligomers have been synthesized via CN bonds formation by the modified Ullmann reaction. The full characterization of their structure is presented. These derivatives are highly thermally stable amorphous compounds with glass transition temperatures of 167–171 °C and thermal decomposition temperatures of ca. 400 °C. Amorphous films of the materials were fabricated and their hole-transporting properties were tested in a light emitting device with Alq3 as an electroluminescent and electron-transporting material.
