Abstract
Polyaniline (PANI) micro/nanofibers (190–450 nm in diameter) doped with saturation fatty acids such as acetic acid (CH3COOH, AA), hexanoic acid (CH3(CH2)4COOH, HA), lauric acid (CH3(CH2)10COOH, LA) and stearic acid (CH3(CH2)16COOH, SA) as the dopant were prepared by template-free method in the presence of ammonium per-sulfate (NH4)2S2O8, APS) as an oxidant. It was found that the crystalline, morphology and diameter as well as room-temperature conductivity of the PANI fibers were affected by the number of CH2 group of the fatty acids.
