Abstract
CeO2 nanoparticles have been produced by means of thermal decomposition of cerium-containing compounds (cerium nitrate, (NH4)2Ce(NO3)6 and (Et4N)2Ce(NO3)6) in an argon–oxygen atmosphere. The obtained nanocomposites based on low-density polyethylene (LDPE) have been characterized with TEM, XRD, spectral and electrophysical measurements and have proven to be a homogeneous dispersion of CeO2 nanoparticles.
