Abstract
A sequence of thermally and stress-induced intermartensitic transformations has been found in a Ni52.0Mn24.4Ga23.6 single crystal, which have been confirmed by transmission electron microscopy through in situ cooling experiments. The stress–strain–temperature behavior under compression along the 〈1 1 0〉P and 〈1 0 0〉P crystallographic directions has also been studied for this compound and a stress–temperature phase diagram has been established.
