Abstract
A fast and unexpensive method to synthesize stannate pyrochlores has been set up. This method pursues to save time and energy. It is based in the increase of the reaction rate by microwave radiation. Two solids, Y2Sn2O7 and Eu2Sn2O7, with the pyrochlore structure, have been synthetized. Here we present the synthesis procedure and the characterization results.
