Abstract
Nd:GdVO4 micro-rods were synthesized by a high energy ball milling method. The effects of sintering temperature and phase transformation of the products are investigated based on the differential thermal, and X-ray diffraction analyses. The morphological changes were observed by taking the field emission-scanning electron microscopy images, and the elemental composition was analyzed by using the energy-dispersive spectroscopy. The emission performance of the samples was investigated by luminescence spectra. Furthermore, the morphological dependent spectral properties of the synthesized samples are also discussed in detail.
