Abstract
BaTiO3/BiY2Fe5O12 composites with low leakage current obtained by the conventional solid-state sintering method and sintered at 1100 °C were investigated for their electrical, magnetic and magnetoelectric properties. The results show that BaTiO3 and BiY2Fe5O12 phases can coexist in the composites and all the synthesized composites exhibit excellent electrical, magnetic and magnetoelectric properties. The magnetoelectric behaviors are strongly dependent on the concentration of BiY2Fe5O12 and the dc magnetic field. The maximum magnetoelectric coefficient of the composite reaches up to about 0.21 mV/cm Oe.
