Abstract
The optical properties and microstructure of Ba4LiTa3O12 thin films prepared using the sol–gel method at annealing temperatures ranging from 500 °C to 700 °C have been investigated. The diffraction pattern showed that the deposited films exhibited a polycrystalline microstructure. All films exhibited Ba4LiTa3O12 peak orientations perpendicular to the substrate surface and the grain size with an increase in the annealing temperature. Optical transmittance spectroscopy further revealed high transparency in the visible region of the spectrum. The dependence of the physical and optical characteristics on various annealing temperatures was also investigated.
