Abstract
The enhancement of the luminescence emission of Y2O3:Er3+ films with the incorporation of Li+ is reported for both visible and IR characteristic emissions of Er3+ ions in the yttrium oxide matrix. The determination of Li+ content in the films deposited by the spray pyrolysis technique, was inferred from FTIR spectroscopy and also measured by Ion beam Analysis, in which the high energies α particle yield from the 7Li(p,α)4He nuclear reaction was used to determine the content of Li+ in the films.
