Abstract
Dielectric characteristics of YMn0.8Fe0.2O3 ceramics prepared by in situ spark plasma sintering (SPS) were evaluated over broad temperature and frequency ranges. An obvious dielectric relaxation was observed in the low temperature range, and it was a thermally activated process following the Arrhenius law. A regular ferroelectric hysteresis loop was detected at 153 K, and the weak ferromagnetic characteristic was observed at room temperature. These results indicated the enhanced multiferroic properties in the Fe-modified YMnO3 ceramics.
