Abstract
An organic/inorganic nanocomposite was prepared based on poly(ether-ether-ketone) (PEEK) containing either ethyl-aminated or phenyl-aminated GO/MWCNT (E-GC or P-GC) hybrid fillers. The introduction of E-GC and P-GC to the PEEK matrix improved the thermal conductivity and mechanical properties. The thermal conductivities of 1 wt.% GO/PEEK increased to 0.36 W/mK and the introduction of 0.5 wt.% ethyl-aminated and phenyl-aminated MWCNT with 1 wt.% chlorinated GO in the PEEK showed enhanced thermal conductivities. The storage modulus of PEEK composite was higher than that of raw PEEK, and the P-GC containing PEEK had the most enhanced value.
