Abstract
The buckling of an orthotropic laminate with weak interfaces is investigated. The state-space formulations established directly from the three-dimensional theory of elasticity are employed. The present analysis is effective because the final scale of the resulting equations always keeps the same in spite of the number of layers as well as the number of weak interfaces in the laminate. To maximize the critical buckling stress of laminates with weak interface, the optimal design are performed to find the optimal design of microstructural parameters using ADS (automated design synthesis).
