Abstract
⺠Inhibition of carbon steel corrosion by 12-aminododecanoic acid (AA) was investigated. ⺠Inhibition efficiency (IE) was found to depend on AA concentration and electrolyte flow. ⺠89% IE was found for 3mM AA for the rotating disc electrode configuration. ⺠AA accelerated CS corrosion at high flow rates in the impingement-jet configuration.
