Abstract
⺠The effect of ozone on corrosion of mild steel was investigated. ⺠Potentiodynamic polarization and EIS measurements were employed. ⺠The corrosion rate of the steel in ozonated seawater was significantly low. ⺠Localized corrosion occurred in the steel in the ozonated seawater. ⺠Ozone facilitated the formation of a compact film on steel surface.
