Abstract
► The effect of ozone on corrosion of mild steel was investigated. ► Potentiodynamic polarization and EIS measurements were employed. ► The corrosion rate of the steel in ozonated seawater was significantly low. ► Localized corrosion occurred in the steel in the ozonated seawater. ► Ozone facilitated the formation of a compact film on steel surface.
