Abstract
Potential-controlled slower electrode straining method was used to study film rupture and repassivation (FRR) kinetics. A model was developed to extract the kinetic parameters by correlating the anodic current transients measured vs. test time. Through comparison against experimental data, the model yields film repassivation kinetic values in reasonable agreement with the experimentally generated data and with those reported in the literature.
