Abstract
Transparent Lu2Ti2O7 pyrochlore was fabricated by reactive sintering using spark plasma sintering at 1723 K for 45 min. The sintered body exhibited 72% transmittance at a wavelength of 2000 nm and 40% transmittance at 550 nm. The average grain size was 14.5 μm with uniform microstructure.
