Abstract
Single-phased emission tunable NaBa4(BO3)3:Ce3+, Tb3+ phosphors were synthesized by solid-state reaction. The energy transfer from Ce3+ to Tb3+ in NaBa4(BO3)3 host was studied and demonstrated to be a resonant type via a dipole-dipole interaction mechanism. The energy transfer efficiency (Ce3+ → Tb3+) gradually increased from 0% to 84.5% by increasing the Tb3+ doping content from 0 to 0.45.
