Abstract
â¶ We model field-activated combustion synthesis of B-C system. â¶ We investigate the effect of external field and porosity on the combustion reaction. â¶ The reaction cannot proceed unless the activated temperature is more than 1100Â K. â¶ Porosity has a significant effect on the combustion velocity. â¶ Combustion velocity reaches a maximum when porosity is about 40%.
