Abstract
⺠Bulk ceramics can be prepared via melt solidification by high-gravity combustion synthesis. ⺠Most ceramic materials undergo a faceted crystal growth mode. ⺠A strongly textured layer occurs at the surface of Al2O3 samples. ⺠Eutectic ceramics show a fine microstructure with submicron interphase spacings.
