Abstract
SrO(SrTiO3)n compounds were prepared by a modified sol–gel self-propagating combustion, which is a low-temperature combustion synthesis procedure using microwave-assisted sol-gel as precursors. The thermal treating conditions were determined by DTA/TG analysis of the powders. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were used for the sample characterization. The results confirm that the high temperature and long reaction time which occur in classical solid-state reaction method are avoided. The band structure, total density of states (DOS), and partial density of states (PDOS) of SrO(SrTiO3)n were calculated in order to study the electronic structures of SrO(SrTiO3)n.
