Abstract
The lacunary lead sodium vanadate apatite Pb8Na2(VO4)6 was synthesized by the solid-state reaction method. The compound was characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, infrared (IR) absorption spectroscopy and Raman scattering spectroscopy.By comparing the effect of vanadate and phosphate ions on electrical properties, it was concluded that Pb8Na2(VO4)6 apatite is better conductor than Pb8Na2(PO4)6 apatite.
