Abstract

Dysprosium hydroxide and oxide nanorods were prepared directly from commercial bulk Dy2O3 crystals by facile hydrothermal process at 130 and 210 °C, respectively. The as-synthesized dysprosium hydroxide and oxide nanorods were investigated by various techniques of XRD, TEM, SEM, and EDS. In the process, the temperature was found to play important roles in determining produce dysprosium hydroxide and oxide nanorods.
