Abstract
⺠We provide experimental demonstration of the fabrication of buried waveguide structures on monoclinic double tungstates with different widths based on the combination of conventional photolithography, Ar-ion milling and liquid phase epitaxy. ⺠Fabrication of waveguides on monoclinic double tungstates by UV-photolithography, Ar-ion milling and liquid phase epitaxy. ⺠We analyzed the losses of these structures theoretically and estimated them experimentally. ⺠Waveguide laser oscillation of Tm3+ in different buried channels without the need for end-butted mirrors.
