Abstract
⺠An analysis on the birefringence of the lyotropic liquid crystals. ⺠Illustration of the effect of lyotropic LC material, below Krafft temperature, in altering the birefringence and changing the polarization. ⺠Discussion on possible applications such as development of a polarization rotator and variable optical attenuator using the proposed opto-fluidic platform.
