Abstract
⺠Single crystals of Nd3+-doped α-Na3Y(VO4)2 have been grown by the flux growth method. ⺠The room and low-temperature spectroscopic properties of the single crystals were investigated. ⺠Parameters of Nd3+ emission in α-NYV crystal are typical for vanadate laser crystals. ⺠Nd-doped α-NYV crystal is a promising laser medium for solid state lasers.
