Abstract

The new styryl substituted pyrazinoporphyrazine complex has been synthesised for the first time. The spectral properties of the ytterbium complex have been studied. The introduction of the styryl fragments in the cycle leads to bathochromatic shift of the Q-band. It can be explained by the stabilisation of LUMO.

Graphical abstractThe new pyrazinoporphyrazine complex containing eight styryl fragments in the periphery of macrocycle – tetrakis-2,3-{5,6-bis[(E)-2-(4-methylphenyl)vinyl]pyrazino}porphyrazinato ytterbium(III) acetate – has been synthesised for the first time. The introduction of the styryl substituents in the macroring leads to significant bathochromatic shift of the Q-band that can be explained by the stabilisation of LUMO.Figure optionsDownload full-size imageDownload high-quality image (60 K)Download as PowerPoint slideResearch highlights► The new styryl substituted pyrazinoporphyrazine complexhas been synthesised for the first time. ► The spectral properties of the ytterbium complex have been studied. ► The introductionof the styryl fragments in the cycle leads to bathochromatic shift of the Q-band. ► It can be explained by the stabilisation of LUMO.
