Abstract
► A diode-pumped doubly QML YVO4/NdYVO4 laser is realized. ► More stable and shorter pulses with higher peak power are generated. ► The pulse width of the Q-envelope is evidently compressed. ► The mode-locked pulsed peak power is greatly improved. ► The numerical solutions of the coupled equations agree with the experimental results.
