Abstract
⺠First study of the effect of pressure on GRIN lenses. ⺠Microlenses insensitive to the index of the medium developed. ⺠Optical power increases due to the increase of index gradient constant of the GRIN. ⺠Observations consistent with Mueller's theory of photoelasticity.
